Garth was born and raised in Montoursville, Pennsylvania, graduated from Penn State with the completion of AFROTC. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from the Penn State’s Dickinson School of Law in 2000. While practicing law in Montoursville, he served as the solicitor for many townships, boroughs, school districts, and municipal authorities in the area. In 2006 he ran for and was elected to the House of Representatives for the 84th House District in Lycoming County. He is currently serving his sixth term. In the current session, Garth continues to serve on the Appropriations, Judiciary, Environmental Resources and Energy, and Game and Fisheries Committees.
