Candidate Bio

Rep. Bryan Barbin, D-Cambria, was first elected to the state House in 2008. He was born in Johnstown on Feb. 2, 1957, and is the fourth generation of his family to provide legal services in western Pennsylvania. He is also an active volunteer and has held numerous positions in his parish, Our Mother of Sorrows. Barbin received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Richmond in 1979 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Pittsburgh in 1982. He takes pride in having worked his way through college as a union construction worker with Laborer's International Union of North America 910.
